A History of Creative Direction and Event Coordination
As a jewelry designer in a small town with a thriving art community I've found my place as an artist somewhere between the realm of fashion and fine art. In creating platforms for myself and fellow artists to showcase their work I have witnessed the power of community and I am so thankful for all of the wonderful people I have been so fortunate to meet on this journey. The journey continues.

Art at the A.R.T
Art at the Acrosstown Repertory Theater is a fast growing art walk event which takes place at the historic Baird Center. The Gainesville art scene's focus is gradually shifting to South Main Street, and SoMa, as it is now called, is finding a new identity as a hub for local art. My hope for this event is not only to create a platform for artists and musicians to express themselves, but also to unify these creative people and businesses as the face of Gainesville undergoes rapid changes.

Downtown Drag
Downtown Drag was always destined for greatness. While on break during a shift at Maude's Classic Cafe I met an experienced drag queen who had just moved to town. We got talking about a drag show ion the streets of dowtnwon gaiensville where anyone walking by might see. Our search for talent lead us to several local drag queens and burlesque performers and we began doing shows on the history brick streets that surround the Hippodrome.
I am so proud to have been a part of this show. We pulled massive crowds full of curious faces and created a new kind of drag event the likes of which Gainesville has never seen.

Repurpose Project Runway
What began an an idea for a small fashion show quickly became a full production including several local designers, artists, food trucks, and workshops. Members of the community were encouraged to design and wear thier own trash fashion.
The event took place on Earth Day, so in the spirit of envirmentalism nearly all materials used in the fashion show were rendered from materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

The Smith&Foxx Photo Shoot
This editorial quality photo shoot was inspired by dark magic and ritual. My good friend Amanda Gay-Smith was making beautiful headdresses from found objects and bone. Inspired by her work, I called some friends and photo shoot emerged. In this slide gallery you can see a small fraction of nearly 2000 shots that were taken.
